'My wife and I stayed in the Intercontinental in April 2011 over the Easter Break. We were on a good package but were in a beautiful room on the 23rd floor, overlooking the river. We would strongly recommend that anyone going to the hotel ask for a room overlooking the river. The room was huge with a beautiful separate bathroom with a shower and bath. The floor was silent and was just a tranquil place to rest and enjoy the surroundings. The staff at the Intercon were fantastic - obliging and helpful at all times and a credit to the hotel. Parking is underneath the hotel and can be a bit tricky to get into and out from (particularly the exit, which heads you across the river), but we seemed to work that out ok. The overall location of the hotel is just excellent, adjacent to the casino, close to the Zoo, the concert centre and many great retaurants and eateries, all within walking distance. It is also on the light rail (tram) which opens up opportunities to get to Glenelg without the need for a car. Due to our desire to explore Adelaide eating, we did not dine in the hotel but the main restaurant looked pleasant. Jogging and walking along the river through the parklands is quite special in Adelaide and a few steps from the riverside entrance to the hotel. This is a top class hotel in a great location and staffed by very high quality staff. One of our best hotel experiences in Australia. Room Tip: High up, overlooking the river. Corner suites are really good.'
