In modern-day Finland, a joyous wedding celebration takes a shocking turn when the darkest of secrets is revealed and a young bride faces an impossible decision. Loyalties are tested and ghosts confronted in a powerful and enthralling story of innocence and guilt, destruction and salvation.

This is Kaija Saariaho’s final opera and one of the most important of this century. Her extraordinary score, rich in translucent textures, is reinforced by a multi-layered libretto by Finnish novelist Sofi Oksanen that explores the legacy of violence and its ripple-effect across the years. His work explores translucency, light, and colour, resulting in unique organic forms presented in museums, gardens, and public spaces worldwide. Inspired in part by his mother’s love of gardens, Chihuly has created monumental installations that complement the environments in which they are placed. Since 2001, his outdoor exhibitions have been showcased in cities across the USA, London’s Kew Gardens, and Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. Adelaide is the first Australian city to host a major garden exhibition.

Our Spring High Tea begins with a selection of exquisite savoury treats, designed to highlight the best flavours of the season. Enjoy the Asparagus, Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP, Hazelnut and Ricotta Tart—a rich combination of fresh spring asparagus and premium prosciutto, elevated by creamy ricotta and a touch of hazelnut.
