About Dale Chihuly
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Dale Chihuly has spent over half a century creating world-class art in various mediums. His work explores translucency, light, and colour, resulting in unique organic forms presented in museums, gardens, and public spaces worldwide. Inspired in part by his mother’s love of gardens, Chihuly has created monumental installations that complement the environments in which they are placed. Since 2001, his outdoor exhibitions have been showcased in cities across the USA, London’s Kew Gardens, and Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. Adelaide is the first Australian city to host a major garden exhibition.
